Happy Monday Everyone!

This week we are reading about animal habitats from our science books.  We will be reading from these chapters for two weeks, therefore, there will not be a reading test this Friday.  We will focus
on text features and comparing and contrasting.  In language we will wrap up our unit on nouns
this week with a test on Thursday.  We will have a review on Thursday and it will come home Thursday night so that you can review with your child.  Our spelling pattern this week is consonant digraphs th, sh, wh, ch, tch, and ph. The spelling test will be on Friday.

This week we are moving into Unit 3 in math, Addition and Subtraction within one hundred.  It will include making graphs, solving story problems, adding and subtracting 2-digit numbers using strategies, and representing addition and subtraction on a number line.

Friday is ILE's annual fall parade.  Information is coming home with your child today about the parade.  Please do not wear any costumes to school.  They should be brought to school and we will change into them
before the parade.  Your child should be able to put their costume on by themselves.  Please practice
this at home.  The parade will begin at 2:00 and our fall party will be immediately following.  Students may be checked out early from our classroom.  There will be a sign out sheet in my room.

Homework:
Monday:  Read a book and complete the book report sheet.  This is due by Friday.
Tuesday: Math
Wednesday:  Wed. folders
Thursday: Math, study spelling words

Have a wonderful week!
