Dear Parents,
We are having a wonderful time learning about other countries this week! The only homework this week is to complete
the Holiday Around the World project. Girls will make their presentation on Wednesday, and boys will make their presentation on Thursday. Please let your child practice their oral presentation at home in front of you or other family members. They always enjoy doing this and they learn so much about the world around them!
Friday we will have our party starting at 10:30 with dismissal at 11:30.
Can you feel the excitement in the air? I can!
Have a great week!

Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope everyone enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday as much as I did! It sounds like you did based on what I heard from the children!
We have a red container outside our classroom to place items for our Adopt-a-family. If you are able to make a donation, please send it in by Friday. If you have questions about what is needed, please email Aimee Fuqua at aimeefuqua@comcast.net. Thank you for any donation you are able to make.
This is the last week we will have a reading story/test and spelling words for this nine weeks. After this week, Second Grade will start our Holidays Around the World unit during our normal reading time. We will be learning about how other countries celebrate holidays. This is always a lot of fun for the students. Tomrrow your student will pick a country to do a report on. If your family has a personal connection to a country, and your child would like to report on that country, please let me know by tomorrow so I can reserve that country for your child. I will be sending home more information about this tomorrow.
