Hello Parents!

I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend!

This week we are presenting our biography projects on Wednesday and Thursday.  We will be reviewing proper nouns in language.  In math we will continue our unit in geometry by looking at the area of shapes.

Class pictures will be taken on Thursday.  Please remember these must be pre-ordered.  Individual pictures will still be ordered using a proof.

Friday 2nd grade will have our annual Winter Read In during our reading block! (normally it still feels like winter in the middle of February)  Students can bring books from home (if they want) and a small blanket or towel to sit/lay on and we will read, read, read!  This is not a pajama day.  It is just a fun time to enjoy reading!

Happy Monday Everyone!

This week we are continuing to work on our biography projects.  PLEASE make sure your child brings their biographies to school every day! If they do not have their books, they have nothing to do in class and I can't help them.  We are writing our papers this week. 

We continue to work with conjunctions and compound sentences in language and our spelling words have the long e spelling pattern.  In math we are working on identifying shapes based on their attributes.


I will be sending home the parent teacher conferences times in Wednesday folders this week.  Please be on the look out for your time.


Information about class pictures was sent home last week.  Class pictures are pre-order only.  Individual pictures are still ordered using a proof.


Wednesday is our Valentine exchange.  Please send them Wednesday morning along with their box or bag to collect them!
