Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed an extra hour
of sleep!

This week we will continue our reading about animal habitats from our
science books.  We will focus on text features and comparing and contrasting.
Our spelling words this week have -ed, -ing endings.  In language we will
focus on informative writing.

We will begin Unit 3 in math and focus on addition and subtraction within
one hundred.

If your child needs to have their picture taken, or re-taken, tomorrow
is re-take picture day.

The deadline to be a underclothes superhero has been extended until this Friday.
If you would like to send in new underclothes for those in need, please do so
this week.

Homework:
Monday - Read and write 3 sentences
Tuesday - Read and write sentences, math
Wednesday - Wed. folders, read for 15 minutes
Thursday - Read and write sentences, math, study spelling words

I am sending home a fun homework project that is due Monday, November 9th.
We read the story  Plump and Perky Turkey.  The assignment is to disguise their
turkey so it can hide and not become Thanksgiving dinner!  The children always
come up with fun, creative ways to hide their turkeys.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
Have a wonderful week!

Mrs. Kane
