Hello Parents!

Progress reports come home today.  Please sign one copy and return it
tomorrow.  The other copy is for you to keep.

This week we are reading a passage called "Native Americans: Keeping the Past
Alive."  The skill we will focus on will be comparing and contrasting.  Our spelling
words are base words with endings -s and -es.  We have begun our language
unit on verbs and incorporate some informative writing.  In math we continue
our focus on adding and subtracting within 100.

We have begun our social studies unit on Native Americans and next week
we will tie it in to the pilgrims and Thanksgiving.

Homework:
Monday - math (we did most of it in class)
Tuesday - I-ready reading for 20 minutes.  If your child doesn't have
access to a computer, please have them read for 15 minutes and write
3 complete sentences about what they wrote.
Wednesday- Wednesday folders, math
Thursday - Read this week's passage, study spelling words

Have a wonderful week!
Mrs. Kane
